القديسة فيرونيكا التي شفاها الرب

 حدث ذلك على مقربة من بحر الجليل ، في ظهيرة يوم صيفي عندما كان الرب منشغلا بشفاء المرضى والكرازة بالانجيل .

قامت امرأة وعزلت نفسها عن الجمهور الذي كان يتبع الرب ، وتجاسرت ان تتبع المسيح ، كان اسمها فيرونيكا ، وكانت تعاني من مرض مزمن ادى بها الى نزيف مستمر جعلها ضعيفة ومريضة باستمرار ، ولما ارادت ان ترتاح من اوجاعها ، رغبت ان تقترب من الرب بهدوء ، وان تلمس هدب ثوبه .

St. Veronica, Who Was Healed By Our Lord
 It happened near theSea of Galilee, on a mild summer afternoon when Our Lord was busy healing the sick and preaching the Holy Gospel.
It happened when a woman of great faith detached herself from the crowd of onlookers who were following Christ and dared to approach him.  Her name was Veronica, and she was struggling with a chronic health problem in which she hemorrhaged continually, leaving her weak and anemic and constantly ill.  Hoping for relief from this life-threatening ailment, she was content to approach the Lord silently and merely touch the hem of his robe.
The story is beautifully told in the Gospel of St. Luke, as follows:

ومنحه سلطان على جميع الخلائق الأخرى من النباتات والحيوانات وتأكيدا لهذه المحبة خلق له شريكا ليكون عونا له وبذلك تأسست أول  عائلة على الكرة الأرضية مؤلفة من آدم الرجل و حوآء المرأة .

غير أن هذه العائلة الحديثة فشلت في أول تجربة مرت بها عندما لم تحافظ على الوعد الذي قطعته للرب في عدم التقرب من الشجرة التي في وسط الجنة والأكل من ثمارها

الأيقونة الأرثوذكسية

الأرشمندريت بندلايمون فرح 

منذ الصغر ترافقنا الأيقونات في كل جهة من الكنيسة، وخاصةً على الأيقونستاس. وكنائسنا هي نوع من الاحتفال، بالشكل واللون، لحضور الله في كنيسته. كما أن للأيقونة مكانتها وتوقيرها في البيت المؤمن، إذ توضع عادةً في إحدى الزوايا، فيتوجّه الجميع إليها بالصلاة. ولكي نفهم معنى استخدام الأيقونة في كنيستنا الأرثوذكسية، لا بد من رؤيتها فناً ليتورجيا نستعملها في إطار العبادة الأرثوذكسية ونكرمها. ليست إذاً فناً دينياً نزيّن به الجدران ونتأملّه كأي معرض فني. 

إن شخصاً اعتيادياً لا يسأل "لماذا" و"كيف" تكون الأيقونة "اتصالا حقيقياً" مع الله؟ وكيف هي منبع للنعمة والتجديد الروحي في عالم تشوّهت فيه الصورة الإلهية؟ لا يستطيع أن يسبر عمق الأيقونة وروحانيتها. من يحيا روحياً ليتورجية الكنيسة الجامعة وباستقامة رأي وحياة وتمجيد، هو وحده يستطيع الارتقاء بكل فن إلى مستوى الاتصال بأسرار الأيقونة READ MORE التي أمامه. هذا يستطيع 

Young People and Confession

 The motivation for this article came from a young teenager who heard me speak on pornography and drugs. He asked me if it was a sin to read "dirty books," and to occasionally smoke marijuana. I told him that he should go to his priest and that if he wished to reconcile himself with God, he should go to the sacrament of confession. He called me back one day and said that his priest said that we no longer emphasize the confessional and that the confessional should be used for very serious sins.

التأمل الأوّل

:  ( تكريم والدة الاله )

الكنيسة الأرثوذكسية ترى العذراء مريم الم التي حملت لها ” للكنيسة ” ولكل البشرية الإله “الكلمة المتجسد”، الذي جاء إلى العالم لينقله من ظلام الخطيئة إلى نور الحياة الأبدية أي الحياة مع الله؛ هذا الحدث جعل الكنيسة منذ نشأتها حتى الآن تكرّم العذراء مريم أعظم تكريم، تكريم يفوق الملائكة “……. هي أكرم من الشيروبيم وأرفع مجداً بغير قياس من السيرافيم….”، هذا مستمد من تكريم السيد المسيح الذي ارتضى أن يحلّ في أحشائها و أن يأخذ منها جسده المقدّس، جاعلاً إيّاها “والدة الإله، وأم النور”. لقد استطاع الابن من الاتحاد بالخليقة كلها بواسطة العذراء، وبذلك صارت العذراء سماءً جديدةً أرحب من السماء التي تحوي الشمس و القمر و النجوم لأن الرب يسوع هو نفسه أشرق من هذه السماء.

 فالكنيسة تقول مع القديس يوحنا الدمشقي: “إنّ البرايا بأسرها تفرح بك يا ممتلئة نعمة. محافل الملائكة، وأجناس البشر. أيتها الهيكل المتقدّس، والفردوس الناطق، وفخر البتوليّة مريم. التي منها تجسّد الإله و صار ...

فلاً، وهو إلهنا قبل الدهور. لأنّه جعل مستودعك عرشاً، وبطنك أرحب من السماوات. لذلك يا

كيف نقترب من القديسين؟

قالَ أحدُ رؤساءِ الكهنةِ المعاصرينَ الكثيريِ الحكمةِ، القولَ التالي إنَّها لَشجاعةٌ جدًّا أنْ توجدَ: "وتعيشَ بقربِ أَحدِ القدِّيسين فهذا يتطلَّبُ تواضعًا وصلاةً دؤوبة". أنا أوافقُهُ الرأيَ بالمطلق، ولكنْ، لأيِّ سبب؟ القدِّيسُ يكونُ في حالةٍ ساميةٍ مقابلَ الذي لايزالُ بعدُ مجاهدًا، ويحاولُ الاقترابَ من خطوطِ التَّماسِ مع الله. فالقدِّيسُ قدِ امتلَكَ فكرَ المسيحِ ويقودُهُ الروحُ القدس. وبالتالي،يظهرُ، مرَّاتٍ كثيرة، بحالةٍ يصعبُ فهمُها، في كيفيَّةِ تفكيرِه وكيفيَّةِ عملِه. بالطبع، هو ليسَ متحرِّرًا من الأهواءِ المعروفةِالمشتركة، من حاجتِهِ إلى النوم، والطعام، والأحاسيسِ الجسديَّة. ولا يتزيَّنُ أيضًا بمواهبِ اللهِ جميعِها، طالما أنَّه، بحسبِخاصِّيَّةِ الطبيعةِ البشريَّة، يقبَلُ ملءَ المواهبِ الخاصَّة، كما يُحلِّلُ القدِّيسُ البارُّ مكسيموس المعترف بعمقٍ وبرؤيةٍ ثاقبة. ولكنَّالقدِّيسَ يختلفُ عمَّن ليسَ قدِّيسًا في مواجهتِهِ للأهواءِ الطبيعيَّةِ المشتركة. وهذه المواجهةُ تكونُ دائمًا حسبَ مشيئةِ اللهِ وتعملُعلى مستوى الروح.

القديس باسيليوس الكبير أيهـا الكاهـن:

1- عليك كل ما في وسعك لتكون عاملاً بلا خزي ولا خجل، قاطعاً كلمة الحق باستقامة.
2- عندما تحضر إلى الكنيسة لإقامة الصلاة إياك أن تضمر بغضاً أو عداوةً لأحد لئلا تغضب الروح القدس فيبتعد عنك.
3- عندما يجتمع الناس للصلاة فلا تخاصم أو تجادل أحداً بل ثابر على القراءة والصلاة الى ان يحين وقت إتمام السر الإلهي، عندئذٍ انتصب بخشوع وورع وبقلب طاهر أمام المذبح المقدس، غير ملتفتٍ إلى هنا أو هناك بل ماثلاً بخشيةٍ ورعدةٍ أمام الملك السماوي.
4- إياك أن تحذف شيئاً من الصلوات أو تختصر منها لأجل مصلحة عالمية أو مراعاة لبعض الكـسالى المتوانين، أو لأجل المحاباة واسترضاء بعض الناس.

4 ضعْ نصب عينيك دائماً الملك الذي أنتَ ماثل أمامه والجنود الملائكية المحتفَّة به.

The Formulation of the Church’s Stand
Throughout its history, the Orthodox Church has dealt with controversial issues by a process which addresses the “mind of the Church.” When an issue arises for which there is no clear-cut, widely and readily acknowledged tradition, and about which there is honest divergence of opinion as to what view genuinely expresses the teaching of the Church, a process begins which may eventually lead to the formulation of an official Church teaching. A classical example from the early period of the Church is the formulation of the Church doctrines about the person of Jesus Christ, which began with the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea (325) and concluded with the Seventh Ecumenical Council (787).
Over this four hundred and sixty-three year period, the Church clarified its understanding and teaching of the revelation regarding Jesus

الفصل الأول: المفهوم اللاهوتي لبقايا (ذخائر) القديسين

أ- مفهوم عام لعبارةبقايا (ذخائر) القديسين:

كلمة بقايا باللغة اليونانية وباللغة اللاتينية الكلاسيكية RELIQUIAE، في الأصل تعني أن أي شيء من بقايا الأموات، ولكنها مع الوقت أخذت معنى دينيًا إذ خصصت الكنيسة هذه اللفظة لبقايا القديسين وما يختص بهم: كالأجساد والأدوات التي استعملها القديس خلال حياته الأرضية وكل ما تبقى من الأدوات التي تألم بها وأدّت إلى استشهاده.

والبقايا هي جلد القديس، هيكله، ثيابه وكل شيء مادي استعمله حتَّى موته، وفي كثير من الأحيان الأواني المقدسة والأدوات التي كانت لها علاقة مع جسده.

اندراوس مطران كريت ، واضع القانون الكبير

امضى السنوات السبع الاولى من حياته في صمت ، منذ ولادته كان صامتا ابكم ، ولم يكن من امل في ان ينطق يوما وانشغل به ذووه ، فحملوه من طبيب الى اخر ، ولكن عبثا ، وفي النهاية يئسا من شفائه ، فحاولا ان يقبلا اعاقته العسيرة الشفاء .

ولكن بعد هذا ، حدث امر عجيب ، وفي لحظة رهيبة .

عندما اقتبل الشاب اندراوس المناولة الالهية في الكنيسة بدمشق ، مسقط رأسه ، ومكان نشأته ، للحال استرد صوته بطريقة عجائبية ، فطفق يتكلم وينشد ويضحك كما يفعل أي طفل ، وفيما بعد ، وفي سنة 650 صار خطيبا مفوها ، استخدم النطق كي يدحض واحدة من اعظم هرطقات تاريخ الكنيسة ، كذلك فقد اصبح ناظما للترانيم والتسابيح ، وراح ينظم القانون الكبير احد اكثر المقطوعات الكنسية وقارا في المسيحية .

Feast of the Deposition of the Honorable Mantle of

Our Lady, the Mother of God, at Blachernae

The Placing of the Venerable Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos at Blachernae: During the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Leo the Great (457-474), the brothers Galbius and Candidus, associates of the emperor, set out from Constantinople to Palestine to venerate the holy places. In a small settlement near Nazareth they stayed in the home of a certain old Jewish woman. In her house they noticed a room where many lamps were lit, incense burned, and sick people were gathered. When they asked her what the room contained, the pious woman did not want to give an answer for a long time. After persistent requests, she said that she had a very precious sacred item: the Robe of the Mother of God, which performed many miracles and healings. Before Her Dormition the Most Holy Virgin bequeathed one of her garments to a pious Jewish maiden, an ancestor of the old woman, instructing her to leave it to another virgin after her death. Thus, the Robe of the Mother of God was preserved in this family from generation to generation. READ MORE
